Beyond his work as Che Fu’s live DJ, SUBSTANCE has just completed the ten-date Navigator 25th Anniversary national tour as front-of-house engineer. Mixing the full live performance for Che Fu & The Kratez, with special guests Aaradhna, King Kapisi and Betty-Anne, he handled an approximately 40-channel production spanning live drums, bass, guitars, keys, MPC, a three-piece brass section, DJ playback and multiple vocalists. His tour preparation and delivery also included multitrack recording, console show saves, Dante virtual soundchecks, and full backline and technical documentation—a complete live-band mixing role from rehearsal through to the final show.

NZ Hip Hop Archive
The archive preserves New Zealand hip-hop as a digital record of Aotearoa’s musical talent and taonga. It is a reference collection, not a public download library.
Physical releases preserve artwork, credits and masters, so rare work remains usable by artists, podcasts and production houses.
The archive focuses on official releases. Mixtapes, acapellas, instrumentals and multitracks are also preserved for archival purposes.
The collection has been utilised for productions by Television New Zealand, Black Grace Dance Company and The History of Aotearoa Hip Hop podcast series by Martyn Pepperell and DJ Sir-Vere, among others. Its tracks have also been used in documentaries, live performances and promotional material by Deceptikonz, Home Brew, Che Fu and others.
